We are excited to announce a new addition to team #CPAWorldDomination, Lorilyn Wilson! Lorilyn will be bringing her passion for changing the industry and help drive growth on our Nucleus program. We have been working hard to do the impossible by creating a firm utilizing cutting-edge technology. Now we look to help others start their journeys by carving out their paths to freedom.
Lorilyn has had her own unique journey. Later in life, she entered the accounting industry after discovering what little value her Political Science degree held outside of the academic world. In a surprise move that even surprised herself, she decided to go back to school, pursue post-baccalaureate education in accounting, and become a CPA.
Her first accounting job was an environment many accountants are all too familiar with – firms with toxic cultures that overwork their employees and are only concerned with how many hours are billed. She stayed less than a year with that firm, then left and started working with Collective PDX – a modern accounting firm that values its employees and work-life integration. In 2018 she became co-owner and helped develop all-new internal systems & procedures for their CAS department.
In early 2021 she sold her shares and left Collective to pursue her true passion – helping to pull other accountants out of their toxic work environments and helping them build their firms, so the old system of billable hours, 70 hour work weeks, and timesheets are a thing of the past.
Her experience closely aligns with that of our core Nucleus groups. She is coming on board as a Champion, Freedom Fighter, Change Agent, and Creator of Opportunities to help bring the knowledge and possibility of our Nucleus program to the industry. In addition, she will be working closely with our Concept Alchemist and CEO to help chart out evangelizing the three Nucleus pillars:
- Build – This is the fast track to partner, allowing you the safety net and support to build your book of business and function as a high-level consultant
- Learn – A chance for firm owners to upskill and learn how to take themselves and their firm to the next level
- Legacy – a graceful exit strategy for firm owners that are looking at retiring soon
She is excited to partner with Nucleus and help us achieve the goal of disrupting how we view the possibilities and reshape the future of our profession for accountants everywhere.
